“The greatest development is achieved during the first years of life, and therefore, it is then that the greatest care should be taken.” – Dr. Maria Montessori
We have a multi-age classroom and strive for a balance between ages. We welcome you and your child to visit us. Visits last about 30 minutes between 9:30 and 10:30 in the morning. At the point when a mutual decision is agreed upon regarding enrollment, an application form will be offered. In addition to the application, a deposit of $250.00 is required to reserve your child’s spot. This will be applied to the last month’s tuition.
We require a student’s immunization records at the time of application. Michigan law requires that the parent or guardian of every new student entering a public or private school must provide an immunization record that documents the child has received all of the required immunizations or at least one does of each required immunization and is not yet due for the next dose. If a non-medical waiver is desired, the parent or guardian must make an appointment at the Washtenaw County Public Health Department to receive science-based vaccine education and a certified waiver.
We are pleased to accept inquiries. Please contact us for a visit!
Tuition rates are subject to change.
Ann Arbor Children’s House is committed to a policy of equal opportunity for all children and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, height or weight.

Extended Day Programs
Monday-Friday 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.- The child who stays all day has reached a level of maturity requiring a longer amount of time interacting with the environment. The rich afternoon explorations are the culmination of their morning experiences, allowing us to reinforce their reading and math skills in preparation for further academic work. Extended days provide greater opportunities for socialization with peers. We teach Spanish, Music, and Art in the afternoons. Children bring lunch from home and eat with peers and teachers. Five-year-olds in this extended day program are usually considered to be in their Kindergarten year.
Extended Day Programs
Tuesday and Thursday 12 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.- Available only in conjunction with the Morning Program.
- Children staying for Tuesday and Thursday afternoons are beginning the process of transitioning to full days, five days a week. They are ready for further exploration of the materials and no longer need an afternoon nap. We teach Spanish and Music on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Children bring lunch from home and eat with peers and teachers. Enrollment in this program is at the discretion of AACH and parents. This option can be added at any time the child is ready.
Drop-In Lunch
12 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.- Children enrolled in the Morning Program can stay for lunch any day of the week, bringing lunch from home and eating with peers and teachers. Plates, silverware and glasses are provided for all. Lunch is a fun time for social interactions and lighthearted conversations between students and teachers. It is also a continuation of grace and courtesy lessons as children learn to use silverware, eat and talk with care. After lunch, children wash their dishes and clean their place at the table.
Early Drop-Off
8:30 a.m. – 9 a.m.- Early Drop off is available
We thank you for creating and encouraging the safe space of AACH where Annette has truly blossomed. She continues to love stories, words, and school in general. We could not ask for more.
